Desperados 47, Cobras 43

CHARLOTTE, N. C. -- The Dallas Desperados kept the Carolina Cobras winless for the Arena Football League season with a 47-43 victory Friday night.

After taking the lead on Jim Kubiak's fifth touchdown pass of the game with 4:46 to play, the Desperados (5-3) sacked Carolina's Robert Hall on fourth-and-goal with less than a minute left to preserve the win. Carolina fell to 0-8, the league's only winless team.

Kubiak finished 24-of-33 for 330 yards. He threw two scoring passes to Jason Shelley, who had five receptions for 82 yards. Andy McCullough added six receptions for 93 yards and a score.

Hall was 16-of-37 for 200 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, he rushed for a Cobras record four touchdowns on five carries. Bernard Holmes caught eight passes for 118 yards and both touchdown receptions for the Cobras.
