There's a name change on the marquee as the Nextel Cup becomes the Sprint Cup in 2008, but the schedule remains nearly identical to that of 2007.
The only signficant changes are moving the first off week until after Bristol, the fifth race of the season (in 2007 it came after the second race), and holding the Chicagoland event on a Saturday night with the track adding lights.
The season kicks off with the 50th running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Daytona International Speedway.
