CBS Sports broadcasts Zurich Classic of New Orleans and Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf

CBS SPORTS BROADCASTS PGA TOUR’S “ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS” AND CHAMPIONS TOUR’S “LIBERTY MUTUAL LEGENDS OF GOLF” APRIL 21-22

CBS Sports broadcasts a golf doubleheader this weekend with coverage of the PGA TOUR's ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS and the Champions Tour’s LIBERTY MUTUAL LEGENDS OF GOLF.

The ZURICH CLASSIC returns to TPC Louisiana after extensive damage from Hurricane Katrina had moved the event last year to English Turn Golf and Country Club where it was played from 1989-2004. Last year’s Zurich Classic was the first major sporting event to be held in New Orleans since Katrina. CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET, both days).

Bill Macatee and Nick Faldo, provide commentary of the Zurich Classic from the 18th tower. Peter Oosterhuis calls the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th and Ian Baker-Finch at the 15th. Peter Kostis serves as on-course reporter. Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer and Steve Milton is Director of CBS Sports’ golf coverage. Tony Petitti is Executive Vice President and Executive Producer, CBS Sports.

Chris Couch won his first PGA TOUR event here last year, edging out Fred Funk and Charles Howell III to win by a stoke. Four of the past five tournament winners have made the Zurich Classic their first PGA TOUR win. Couch joins strong field led by Funk, 2005 Zurich Classic champion Tim Petrovic, 2003 Zurich Classic winner Steve Flesch, last week’s Verizon Heritage winner Boo Weekley, Lucas Glover, Mark Calcavecchia, David Toms, Chris DiMarco, Carlos Franco, Kenny Perry, Jose Coceres, Steve Stricker, Jesper Parnevik, Steve Elkington, Shigeki Maruyama, Bob Estes, Kirk Triplett, Pat Perez, Sean O’Hair, Kevin Na and Brandt Snedeker.

Defending champion Jay Haas returns to the Champions Tour’s LIBERTY MUTUAL LEGENDS OF GOLF as CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday April, 22 (1:00-3:00 PM, ET, both days), live from Savannah Harbor Golf Resort in Savannah, Ga..

Verne Lundquist and Bobby Clampett call the action from the 18th hole tower. Phil Blackmar provides analysis from the 17th hole tower and Billy Kratzert and Mike Hulbert serve as on-course reporters. Jim Rikhoff produces and Bob Matina directs.

Haas currently leads the Charles Schwab Cup standings, the season-long points competition he won in 2006. He takes on a field that includes World Golf Hall of Fame members, Raymond Floyd, Hale Irwin, Tom Kite, Larry Nelson, Nick Price and Tom Watson. The stellar field at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf also includes brothers Lanny and Bobby Wadkins, Mark O’Meara, Crag Stadler, Curtis Strange, Scott Hoch, Bob Murphy and Fuzzy Zoeller.
