CBS SPORTS BROADCASTS PGA TOUR'S FINAL REGULAR SEASON EVENT AT WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP AUGUST 18-19
The final run to the first-ever PGA TOUR playoffs for the FedExCup is this weekend at the WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP, the last event of the PGA TOUR's regular season as CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage of the Wyndham Championship from Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19 (1:00-4:00 PM, ET; both days), live on the CBS Television Network. Defending champion Davis Love III withdrew on Tuesday because of illness.
Bill Macatee and Peter Oosterhuis, provide commentary from the 18th tower. Bobby Clampett calls the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th and Ian Baker-Finch at the 15th. Peter Kostis serves as on-course reporter.
The 68th playing of the Wyndham Championship has a strong field of players, including Chad Campbell, Shigeki Maruyama, K.J. Choi, Rich Beem, Lucas Glover, Jerry Kelly, Joe Durant, Vaughn Taylor, Brad Faxon, J.B. Holmes, Robert Gamez, Jeff Maggert, Steve Flesch, Kirk Triplett, Shaun Micheel, Pat Perez, Tim Petrovic, Nathan Green and Len Mattiace.
After the Wyndam Championship, the top 144 point earners will make the field at THE BARCLAYS, the first of the four PGA TOUR FedExCup Playoff tournaments. CBS Sports will broadcast the third- and final rounds of The Barclays on Saturday, Aug. 25 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) and Sunday, Aug. 26 (2:00-6:00 PM, ET), live from Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y.
