MARY CARILLO
(Lead Analyst)

Mary Carillo joined CBS Sports in 1986 as tennis analyst…served as reporter at U.S. Open in 1980 and serves as analyst for NBC Sports' tennis broadcasts of the French Open and Wimbledon.

She covers Wimbledon for ESPN and served as host for the 2004 Athens Olympics for Bravo. She anchored CNBC's weekend coverage and USA Network's live tennis coverage. Carillo served as reporter for NBC's coverage of 2000 Olympic Summer Games and 2002 Winter Games and also served as host of 2002 Olympic Closing Ceremony…covered tennis for USA Network for six years and ESPN for nine years.

She covered Wimbledon for HBO for four years (1996-99) and also serves as correspondent for HBO Sports' "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel". Carillo was the women's alpine skiing reporter for CBS Sports' coverage of 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway and 1992 Olympic Winter Games in Albertville, France. She won the Peabody Award for co-writing the HBO documentary "Dare To Compete: The Struggle of Women in Sports" with Frank DeFord…named "Broadcaster of the Year" by Women's Tennis Association (1981 and 1985), "Best Commentator" by World Tennis Magazine (1986), Toronto Star (1986), and by Tennis Magazine (1988-1991).

Carillo played on the women's tennis circuit in late 1970s and early '80s and was ranked as high as No. 33 from Jan. through March 1980. She won the French Open mixed doubles title with John McEnroe in 1977 and was doubles runner-up at 1977 U.S. Clay Courts and doubles quarterfinalist at U.S. Open same year. A former member of Women's Tennis Association Board of Directors, Carillo has written two books: Tennis My Way with Martina Navratilova and Rick Elstein's Tennis Kinetics.

Carillo was born March 15, 1957, in Queens, N.Y. and lives in Naples, Fla. with her two children.
