RICHARD BALDINGER
Analyst
THE NFL ON CBS

Richard Baldinger joined CBS Sports as a game analyst for THE NFL ON CBS in August 2004.

Baldinger, who was an offensive lineman for the New York Giants, the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks during his 13-year NFL career, will team with Craig Bolerjack during the CBS Television Network's 2004 NFL broadcast season.

Prior to joining CBS Sports, Baldinger served as an analyst for Fox Sports on NFL Europe games. He served in that same role for KCTV, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City, on the Kansas City Chiefs pre-game show and provided Chiefs post-game analysis for Metro Sports. Baldinger also has served as sideline reporter and analyst for the MIAA/Gateway Football Conference games.

Baldinger was drafted in the 10th round in 1982 by the New York Giants and started 132 games throughout his career. Baldinger was a recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award which annually honors one player from every NFL team who exemplifies commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. The award has become one of the most prestigious honors a player can receive because no other national football award is chosen solely by a vote of his peers.

Baldinger earned a degree in History in 1982 from Wake Forest University, where he was an All-ACC Tackle. Born December 31, 1959 in Massapequa, N.Y., Baldinger currently resides in Kansas City, Mo.
