THE GOOD NEWS
The Trojans return all but two seniors, including all five starters from their Sun Belt semifinal loss to Western Kentucky. Four of their top seven players were transfers in their first season at UALR in 2007-08 so the continuity should help.

THE BAD NEWS
None of the returning players scored 9.8 points per game and until someone steps up, the Trojans will continue to lack a true go-to scorer.

ROSTER REPORT

--UALR coach Steve Shields used 15 different starting lineups in 2007-08 but the starting lineup of Moore, Patterson, Fowler, Edwards and Smith led the Trojans' late-season resurgence.

--Patterson and Smith transferred in from Ole Miss and Edwards and Fowler came from junior college. In their first seasons with UALR, they combined for 29.2 points and 16.1 rebounds per game and finished among UALR's top seven players in both points and minutes.

--Moore led the Trojans with 9.8 points per game but averaged 13.4 points and 4.8 assists per game over the last six games of the season.

--The Trojans had a difficult time shooting consistently from 3-point range throughout the season but sophomore Matt Mouzy, who saw limited playing time through the first two-thirds of the season, became an effective perimeter option down the stretch.
