THE GOOD NEWS
The Indians return all but two seniors and get a fresh start with a new coaching staff.

THE BAD NEWS
The Indians don't return an abundance of quality talent from a team that won only five Sun Belt games and face a steep rebuilding job.

KEY RETURNEES
G Ryan Wedel, Fs Shawn Morgan and Yima Chia-Kur.

ROSTER REPORT

--The Indians lost PF Abayomi Ajasin in the preseason and F Jeremy Thomas midway through the season because of season-ending injuries and three key players -- Adrian Banks (ankle), Ryan Wedel (knee) and Shawn Morgan (ankle) -- played most of the Sun Belt season with nagging injuries.

--Morgan was always a favorite of former coach Dickey Nutt's for his hustle and energy and will likely be a good place for the new coaching staff to start.

--Wedel, a third-team all-conference selection, finished seventh in conference play with 16 points per game.

I have not seen or heard of anything coming out of Jonesboro about what Brady is doing with the basketball team.  What recruits are coming to ASU? Is this going to be a breakout year or has John Brady taken on more than he can handle?  I hope not, I would love to see ASU do better than the HAWGS.

Just wanted to say congrats to my Jonesboro brothers. I think Brady will bring some quality recruits to Arkansas State. Great hire guys. Good luck in the Sun Belt!

What does everyone think??  Will Nolan take the job and bring the program into the new millenium? Or will he hurt the program using it as his chance to get back into D1 basketball?

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
