THE GOOD NEWS
G Tyrese Rice will be an All-America candidate and a strong contender for ACC Player of the Year if he decides to return for his senior year rather than enter the NBA Draft. G Rakim Sanders, F Corey Raji, C Josh Southern and G Biko Paris all gained plenty of experience as freshmen in the rugged Atlantic Coast Conference and should be better for it.

THE BAD NEWS
The Eagles don't have a dependable scoring threat behind Rice and Sanders, given that F Shamari Spears disappeared toward the end of his sophomore season. A lot of inside presence will be lost with the graduation of C Tyrelle Blair and F John Oates.

KEY RETURNEES
Rice averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 assists a game. Sanders averaged 11.3 points and 4.6 rebounds. G Reggie Jackson, a high school player from Colorado Springs, Colo., is a highly regarded recruit.

ROSTER REPORT

--C Tyrelle Blair blocked a school-record 105 shots this season, easily surpassing the old mark of 75 set by Sean Williams in 2006-2007.

--G Tyrese Rice led the team in scoring in 24 of the 30 games in which he played. He also was tops in assists 22 times and steals on 15 occasions. Rice, a junior, ranks 14th on Boston College's all-time scoring list with 1,542 points.

--G Rakim Sanders had a fine freshman season, scoring in double-figures in 17 of 31 games and had five games with 20 or more points.
