THE GOOD NEWS
The Wildcats do bring back some players who gained a lot of experience this year. John Holmes is back after leading the team in scoring and rebounding this year. And there will be more depth after the team finished with just seven healthy players at the end of the season.

THE BAD NEWS
Things don't look to get too much better next year, with the losses of seniors Jimmy Hudson, Dewayne Pettus and Jordan Carrier. That trio combined for 27.5 points this year, almost half the team's output per game. Losing that much offense isn't going to help the Wildcats improve the woeful scoring attack they had in 2007-08.

KEY RETURNEES
John Holmes came of age and really delivered for the Wildcats. How much more he progresses next year will be a storyline to follow. Also looking to take on bigger roles in 2008-09 are Dominique Whatley and Kevan Creppy.

ROSTER REPORT

--F John Holmes' 13.8-ppg average was the highest in the MEAC by any player that didn't make a single three-pointer this season.

--Jimmy Hudson finished the season as the MEAC's ninth-best free-throw shooter, connecting on 77.3 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe.

--Dewayne Pettus' playing time average of 33.97 minutes per game ranked sixth in the MEAC.
