THE GOOD NEWS
Buffalo's top eight scorers return, starting with SG Andy Robinson, who averaged 16.3 points in MAC play. Not only did Calvin Betts lead the Bulls in rebounds, but in field-goal percentage (.500) as well. Also returning is SF/SG Greg Gamble, a four-year starter.

THE BAD NEWS
This is a make-or-break year for coach Reggie Witherspoon and his staff. Back-to-back losing seasons don't sit well with Buffalo AD Warde Manuel and Witherspoon has been put on notice. Anything less than a winning season will mean Witherspoon will be looking for another job.

KEY RETURNEES
SG Andy Robinson is an All-MAC candidate as are Calvin Betts and Jawaan Alston. SG/SF Greg Gamble is the team's best perimeter defender while Byron Mulkey and Rodney Pierce will compete for time at PG. Junior Sean Smiley will come off the bench at SG.

ROSTER REPORT

--With 52 steals, SG Andy Robinson became only the third Buffalo player in the Division I era (since 1991) to have consecutive seasons with 50-plus steals, joining Louis Campbell and Daniel Gilbert.

--Calvin Betts was named the MAC's Sixth Man of the Year by MAC Report Online. The sophomore forward averaged 8.9 points and a team-best 6.6 rebounds in 24 minutes per game off the bench for the Bulls. His numbers are even better in conference play as he is averaging 10 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Mark Bortz was named the MAC Sixth Man of the Year in 2005.
