--C Trent Plaisted forfeited his college eligibility by signing with an agent. Plaisted announced he was entering the draft in April, but said at that time he wouldn't sign with an agent. Plaisted signed with Mark Bartelstein, a Chicago-based multi-sport agent, and Priority Sports.

FINAL RECORD
27-8, 14-2, first in the Mountain West.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
The Cougars set a school record with 25 regular-season wins and were 16-0 at the Marriott Center, extending the nation's longest active home winning streak to 47 games. They also set a school mark with 285 3-pointers. BYU recorded over 200 more assists than its opponents (587-365) and had assists on 65 percent of its baskets.

WHAT WENT WRONG
They hit just 7-of-14 free throws in the NCAA Tournament loss against Texas A&M and finished the season at 65.5 percent from the line, worst in the Mountain West. The loss to the Aggies was the Cougars' sixth consecutive first-round exit from the Big Dance, dating back to 1993. No other school has been to the NCAAs as many times as BYU (22) without going to a Final Four.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I talked with our team after the game about the great things this team has done this year. It's not going to make anybody feel much better right now, but I wanted those guys to leave the locker room just knowing how proud our staff is of what they've accomplished." -- Brigham Young head coach Dave Rose.
