Raiders report: Notes, quotes
--The Raiders beat perennial power Bucknell in the Patriot League semifinals, 54-50, to advance to the league championship game against American. Colgate finished the regular season with a 7-7 league record, but it has won five games in a row. --Colgate jumped on Bucknell early, playing its typical smothering defense and taking a 27-10 lead into halftime. The Raiders forced 22 Bucknell turnovers, while committing only eight themselves. --The Raiders got a scare in the first round, when a huge second-half lead almost disappeared as Lafayette used a 17-1 run to cut Colgate's lead to 75-74 with 30 seconds to play. Good defense saved the Raiders again, however, as they held on Lafayette's final possession and came away with a 76-74 win. QUOTE TO NOTE Copyright (C) 2008 The Sports Xchange.
