Huskies report: Strategy and personnel
THE GOOD NEWS THE BAD NEWS KEY RETURNEES ROSTER REPORT --G A.J. Price tore his ACL in the NCAA Tournament loss to San Diego. The rising junior faces six months of rehab as the offseason begins, but he hopes to be ready to return once practice begins in October. --G Doug Wiggins requested his release from UConn on April 15 and will transfer. Wiggins was suspended two games after he was involved in a police incident Jan. 24. He originally committed to St. John's but, being from East Hartford, chose UConn in the end. He said the decision was motivated by a lack of playing time, not disciplinary action taken during the season. Coach Jim Calhoun said he respects the decision and will help him move on "to a place where he will be happy." --G Jerome Dyson was suspended for a month during the season for failing a drug test. If he does so again, he'll be sidelined for an entire season. --F Jeff Adrien made the All-Big East first team for being a strong scorer and rebounder. His 16 regular-season double-doubles tied Big East Player of the Year Luke Harangody for the most in the conference. Copyright (C) 2008 The Sports Xchange. All Rights Reserved. | ||||||||||||
