The emergence of Mike Rose. The junior guard took the offensive reins from C Darnell Dialls, and flourished, becoming the OVC's sixth-leading scorer.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Inconsistency made the season a roller-coaster ride. A 3-0 start put the Colonels at the top of the OVC standings -- and a four-game losing streak promptly ended the joy. EKU was never able to get back over the hump. Losses to cellar dweller's SEMO and Jacksonville State didn't help matters.
