THE GOOD NEWS
Well, when you win seven straight down the stretch, you make a mark. The Stags charged toward the finish line but just came up short of what they really wanted to get done. Now, Ed Cooley has the bulk of his roster back as he tries to make things a little better next season, led by PG Jonathan Han, one of the better players in the conference.

THE BAD NEWS
Obviously, the end of the season was bad news for the Stags. Looking ahead, the club loses some of its heart and soul -- and size -- with the graduation of Mamadou Diakhate and Marty O'Sullivan up front. Their size and heart will have to be replaced.

KEY RETURNEES
This team runs through G Jonathan Han, who led the MAAC in assists, 3-point percentage and minutes played. He'll be a senior next year. F Anthony Johnson, only a sophomore this season, became one of the better frontcourt players in the league. G Herbie Allen is a key to the scoring and returns as a senior. Freshmen forwards Warren Edney and Yorel Hawkins will continue to improve.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Jonathan Han led the league with 6.2 steals per game, with 38.30 minutes per and a 44.7 shooting percentage from 3-point range. He was tied for fourth in the conference in steals, fifth in assist/turnover ratio and ninth in free-throw shooting.

--F Anthony Johnson was sixth in the MAAC in rebounding and blocked shots.

--F Yorel Hawkins was hampered by a wrist injury down the stretch and played only three minutes against Loyola in the season finale.

--The Stage were 8-for-16 from 3-point range in that season-ending loss to Loyola.

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.

Hey all,

I'm a Fairfield Alum who is out in Colorado now - obviously, I don't get any Stags coverage, so I'm hoping any FU students who are attending games, like tonight's thriller, can post a bit so that us old timers can get a taste of what the team is up to.

Seems like the team is coming together.  They are getting healthy, and they don't get d ...(more)
