WHAT WENT RIGHT
Winning six of seven games showed the potential this Grambling team had going into the season. Three straight wins at Jackson State, at Arkansas-Pine Bluff and at Mississippi Valley were the highlight of a season with very few bright spots.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Grambling had to fight too hard to get back into the SWAC race after starting out 0-4 and the Tigers seemed to use up all its energy in midseason. Andre' Ratliff was inconsistent and when he struggled, the team struggled. Larry Wright tried several different combinations in an attempt to right the ship, but the Tigers just kept taking on more water.

"We got beat by a better team. We just never could stop them. You have to give them credit because they went inside and made us foul them. We wouldn't go inside and that was the difference in the ballgame.
