THE GOOD NEWS
The Bison got a lot of young players a lot of playing time, which can only help next year's team. Howard loses just senior Jeron Smith from this year's squad, which fought hard but has to learn to win close games.

THE BAD NEWS
Experience might not be enough for Howard, which still had games where they were simply outclassed by the competition. Smith provided a nice glue for the team to keep it together with his leadership, something the team has to replace next season.

KEY RETURNEES
Juniors Eugene Myatt and Randy Hampton are going to need to continue to carry the scoring torch for the Bison. Both must also expand their roles to include senior leadership. Kyle Riley was solid all season long, and Curtis White, a sophomore, might have shown some of the future with his career-high 18-point performance in the MEAC tournament.

ROSTER REPORT

--F Eugene Myatt finished ninth in the MEAC in scoring as a sophomore, averaging 14.1 points per game.

--F Adam Walker was the second-best freshman in the conference in terms of rebounding, averaging 5.8 per game.

--C Paul Kirkpatrick played in 30 games and blocked exactly 30 shots, averaging 1.0 per game.
