THE GOOD NEWS
The Gaels have the bulk of their important players back for next year and also add the returning Alejo Rodriguez (back surgery) along with Big East transfers Jonathan Huffman (Louisville) and Kashif Price (Seton Hall). This team should be better next year.

THE BAD NEWS
As is the case with any team that's lost more than one year in a row -- and the Gaels have just 14 total wins the past two seasons -- these kids have to learn how to win. Dexter Gray's time in New Rochelle never really worked out but he was still a forward to be dealt with by the opposition. He did lead this team in scoring at 11.3 points and grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game. Devon Clarke and Kyle Camper are also gone.

KEY RETURNEES
F Gary Springer averaged 10.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a junior coming off injury and should be one of the best players in the conference next year. G Milan Prodanovic can be so explosive but needs consistency. Gs De'Shaune Griffin and Andre Tarver will be better as they mature.

ROSTER REPORT

--F Gary Springer was fifth in the MAAC in rebounding, seventh in free-throw percentage and ninth in blocked shots.

--G Devon Clarke was second in the league in field-goal percentage, third in free-throw percentage.

--G Kyle Camper was seventh in the conference in assists.

--The Gaels were 2-0 against Canisius before falling to the Griffs in the first round of the MAAC tournament.

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
