Missed opportunities.

That may be the best way to describe Jackson State's run for a regular-season championship. Each time, the Tigers seemed ready to take control and make a move, they encountered an unexpected setback. But the Tigers did manage to rebound from most setbacks, even upsetting regular-season champion Alabama State in the SWAC tournament semifinals after watching Mississippi Valley's Stanford Speech banked in a shot at the buzzer to defeat the Tigers and leap over JSU into second place. Jackson State came within less than a second of returning to the NCAA Tournament, falling to Mississippi Valley in the SWAC tournament final game. Let's just say they ran out of opportunities.

I just set up a new college baseball forum and I'm trying to get the word spread. Should be fun once the season gets rolling.
