FINAL RECORD
28-7, 13-3 in MAC East Division (first).

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Kent State was difficult to score against. The Flashes ranked second in the MAC in scoring defense (61.9 ppg), field-goal percentage defense (41.2), three-point percentage defense, and blocked shots (3.9 per game). The team improved its free throw shooting (71.4 percent). Junior college guard Al Fisher was signed sight unseen on August 22, 2007 and became MAC Player of the Year.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Not a lot went wrong during a 28-7 season, but Fisher was prone to turn the ball over (4.2 per game) and had 10 in one game. He was streaky and the offense was susceptible to dry spells. The reserves were offensively inconsistent.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I just hope that people really appreciate the year that (our players) have had, all they've accomplished, and not dwell on this one (NCAA) game." -- KSU coach Jim Christian.
