GAME PREVIEW

IN FOCUS
Having split with Wagner during the regular season, the Blackbirds were set to head over to Staten Island to try to advance in the NEC tournament. This one was not a easy one for Wagner.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Jaytornah Wisseh continued to shine as the regular season came to an end. He had a career-high 31 points in the Blackbirds' late win over rival St. Francis (N.Y.). "I really think (he) has the potential to be a star in this league," LIU coach Jim Ferry said.

--Wisseh had nine 20-point games this season and had 20 consecutive double-figure games. He was averaging 22.2 points per game in the last five games.

--F Kellen Allen continued to team with Wisseh as a potent 1-2 punch.

--F Eugene Kotorobai had moved up to sixth place on LIU's single-season 3-pointer list with 71. He was fifth in the NEC with 2.5 per game.

--G Kyle Johnson was third among NEC freshmen in scoring at 10.5 per game. He had 17 points and eight rebounds against St. Francis in his first career start.

--Freshman G David Hicks started all 29 games and averaged 8.0 points per game while playing strong defense.

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
