THE GOOD NEWS
They say any team needs guards to win and, while the Greyhounds have lost a ton of experience, they do return a backcourt of Brett Harvey, Brian Rudolph and Marquis Sullivan.

THE BAD NEWS
Three starters, three of the top five scorers on the team, are gone. Gerald Brown leaves as a star, but Michael Tuck and Omari Israel will be missed in a big way. There's building to do in the frontcourt.

KEY RETURNEES
G Brian Rudolph was the MAAC's co-Rookie of the Year and showed great leadership. Guard Marquis Sullivan was the league's top sixth man and may have to start in a three-guard set next year. G Brett Harvey has two years left and is already a two-year starter.

ROSTER REPORT

--Senior G Gerald Brown was third in the MAAC in scoring, tied for third in free-throw percentage and seventh in steals, but scored just 13 points in his career finale.

--F Omari Israel saved his best for last, with a career-high 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots in his final college game. It was his first double-double of the year, the fourth of his stay at Loyola.

--G Brian Rudolph, the MAAC co-Rookie of the Year, was sixth in the league in assists and assist/turnover ratio.

--G Brett Harvey led the league in assist/turnover, was second in free-throw percentage and eighth in assists.

--G Marquis Sullivan led the conference with 93 treys and was fifth in 3-point percentage.

--F Michael Tuck was seventh in the MAAC in rebounding.

I just looked at the projected bracket.  Joe Lunardi has us going to the tournament.  He put us as a 16seed vs Texas.

Today they had a big OT win at Siena.  Right now Loyola is 10-5 in the MAAC and 1 game behind co-leaders Siena and Rider.  This team could get anywhere from a 1-6 seed in the tourney.  Rightt now they look like a strong candidate for the NCAA's!

The greyhounds are beating people and are only a game out of first.  This team is getting hot at the right time.
