Cowboys report: Getting inside
The Cowboys returned four starters and had big expectations from a senior class. Yet McNeese went down a seed from last season, and was eliminated in the opening round this season, as opposed to the semifinals the previous season. The problem was, the team just wasn't consistent, and that showed up even at the end. At times, the team was dominant defensively, and its offense was going full force. That made the Cowboys nearly impossible to beat. At other times, the offense was miserable and there was no outside shooting. McNeese was all too easy to beat when that happened. With a load of seniors to help carry the team, this could have been the Cowboys' best shot at a conference title for a while. Copyright (C) 2008 The Sports Xchange. All Rights Reserved. | ||||||||||||
