UMBC enjoyed a magical season, and the Retrievers don't look like a one-hit wonder.

Picked to finish fifth in the conference, UMBC won a school-record 24 games and the America East championship en route to its first NCAA Tournament.

While UMBC will lose key pieces in senior guards Ray Barbosa and Brian Hodges and forward Cavell Johnson, the Retrievers return their sensational junior point guard, Jay Greene, along with forward Darryl Proctors, Justin Fry and Matt Spadafora.

Randy Monroe, the conference coach of the year, has turned the program around. He has the Retrievers playing an entertaining offensive style that should continue to draw recruits. UMBC averaged a league-high 75.1 points.

The Retrievers also impressed a national audience when they played tough before falling 66-47 in the NCAA Tournament's opening round.
