THE GOOD NEWS
G Manny Harris has a chance to be one of the great players in Michigan history after averaging 16.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a freshman. F DeShawn Sims is an outstanding inside scorer who showed great improvement as the season wore on, averaging 12.3 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.

THE BAD NEWS
The Wolverines failed to show any consistency, as they never won more than three games in a row and scored a season-low 34 points in losing to Iowa in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. G Kelvin Grady was wildly inconsistent running the offense as a freshman.

KEY RETURNEES
Harris is the guy Michigan will build around, and Sims provides a nice inside scoring complement. C Ben Cronin, a high school recruit from Syracuse, N.Y., will provide much-needed inside help next season but also fits coach John Beilein's system with his fine shooting touch from the outside.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Manny Harris was a second-team all-Big Ten selection in his freshman season. Harris scored in double figures in 27 of 31 games, led Michigan in scoring 20 times and had eight games of at least 20 points, including five in conference play.

--F DeShawn Sims had a solid season as he scored in double figures in 22 of 31 games and reached 20 points on three occasions. He and Harris were the only two Michigan players to start every game.

--F Epke Udoh led the Big Ten with an average of 2.9 blocked shots per game. He had a block in 28 of 31 games this season, including 25 with at least two.
