--C Tyler Dierkers saved his best performance for Miami's postseason run. Dierkers recorded his first career double-double when he pulled down 13 boards to go along with 11 points in Miami's 74-61 win over Ohio in the quarterfinals of the MAC tournament on March 13. Dierkers also finished the regular season leading Miami in assist-to-turnover ratio.

--Speaking of double-doubles, Miami players have produced seven double-doubles this season with F Tim Pollitz accounting for six of the seven.

FINAL RECORD
17-16, 9-7 MAC (tie, 3rd MAC East)

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Last season, Miami struggled in trying to find consistent backcourt support. Prior to this season, Miami head coach Charlie Coles was counting on the development of junior college transfer Kenny Hayes to emerge as the answer and it appears that Hayes, out of Cincinnati State, answered the bell. This season Hayes emerged as one of the MAC's most consistent backcourt performers, averaging 12.5 points per game, hitting double figures in scoring in 14 straight games during one stretch this season. Another reason for optimism was the development of forward Michael Bramos into one of the conference's top scorers and feared shot blockers. Bramos will be counted on as a leader entering next season, especially with the departure of senior forward Tim Pollitz.

WHAT WENT WRONG
While Hayes emerged as a solid scorer in the backcourt, the RedHawks are still searching for a reliable assist man in the backcourt. The RedHawks' top two assist men were forwards Tim Pollitz and Tyler Dierkers. Miami also struggled this year against the MAC's best teams, going a combined 0-6 against the conference's top three seeds, Kent State, Akron and Western Michigan.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I can't say enough about what our school has meant to me in this time because this is a trying time. Now I guess we can focus on the matter at hand, and that's getting our coach back." -- Miami interim head coach Jermaine Henderson discussing the absence of head coach Charlie Coles.
