If Morgan State coach Todd Bozeman was asked before the 2007-08 season if he'd be happy with his team getting to the postseason in the NIT, he'd probably have said yes.

But considering the circumstances it took for the Bears to drop to the NIT -- winning the regular-season MEAC title before falling in the conference tournament championship game -- he'd probably be unhappy with his team's fate.

Looked at without the context, the Bears' appearance in the postseason is certainly an accomplishment. MSU was 13-18 in 2006-07, so this year's final record of 22-11 was certainly a major improvement. And the team won the regular-season title in the MEAC by three games.

Losing in the title game was a disappointment, but the Bears can certainly hold their heads high after a fantastic season that ended with a first-round loss in the NIT to Virginia Tech.

Bozeman has established the Bears as a powerful MEAC team. The question now is what the team can do for an encore.
