THE GOOD NEWS
The team might be losing three seniors, but the bulk of this year's scoring production was actually done by underclassmen, led by Corey Lyons and Michael Deloach, the second- and third-leading scorers, respectively. The decision by the school's administration to name Anthony Evans the full-time head coach already helps avoid an offseason of turmoil.

THE BAD NEWS
There's no doubt that guard Tony Murphy, the team's leading scorer, will be missed. His ability to get to the line and draw the defense will be missed by his teammates next year. Expectations will definitely rise for the Spartans after this season, so they have to be ready to meet them.

KEY RETURNEES
Corey Lyons and Michael Deloach are the most obvious players to keep an eye on, but there is also Brandon Monroe, who needs to be even more of a presence on the interior with the loss of Larry Vickers to graduation.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Tony Murphy finished as the third-leading scorer in the league, averaging 17.9 points per game.

--G Michael Deloach finished with the fourth-best assists average in the MEAC at 3.1. He accomplished that despite starting only one game all year.

--F Larry Vickers finished up his senior season as the fourth-best shot blocker in the league, averaging 1.52 per game.

I just set up a new college baseball forum and I'm trying to get the word spread. Should be fun once the season gets rolling.
