--The Wolf Pack 2008 recruiting class is drawing national acclaim.

Beyond headliner Luke Babbitt, a McDonald's All-American, Nevada also signed Mark McLaughlin and London Giles, both considered talented guards who could contribute immediately.

Likewise, juco transfer Joey Shaw is viewed as a help-now kind of player. He's 6-7, 218, and considered the Wolf Pack in his "top three" when he went to Indiana in 2005-06 and redshirted.

Beyond knowing the coaching staff, Shaw will have family on the team.

Shaw's sister is married to Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Nate Burleson, whose younger brother Lyndale Burleson, is joining the Wolfpack.

FINAL RECORD
21-12, 12-4 in WAC (tied for first).

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Answering some early-season struggles by winning 14 of 18 games is what saved any postseason berth for the Wolf Pack. Senior guard Marcelus Kemp emerged as one of the school's all-time greats and did more than enough filling the go-to-player void left by three-time WAC Player of the Year Nick Fazekas, who graduated a year before.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Wolf Pack stumbled out of the gate adjusting to the loss of 2006-07 stars Nick Fazekas and Ramon Sessions. While Nevada was second in the league in rebounding as a team, they proved to be vulnerable in the paint against teams that got physical with them. In the WAC semifinal loss to New Mexico State, Nevada was outrebounded 52-25.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"This team wasn't picked to win the WAC, but the WAC is sending us a trophy. I'm proud of our kids for that." -- Nevada coach Mark Fox.
