Ohio (20-13) was the last team from the Mid-American Conference playing basketball. The Bobcats advanced to the quarterfinal round of the inaugural College Basketball Invitational thanks to an 80-74 win over Brown on March 18.

It was a fun fact for head coach Tim O'Shea, who thought the season was over following a loss to Miami in the MAC Tournament on March 13. Bradley bumped the Bobcats from the CBI in the second round, 79-73.

But thanks to the CBI, the Bobcats had fun enjoying the extra couple weeks tacked on their season.

"That's what you have to do," O'Shea said. "You can't have grinding three-hour practices. We know we're fortunate to still be playing and want to savor it."

The loss at Bradley left the Bobcats 5-10 on the road this season.

Ohio's RPI (86) was the highest of the final eight teams in the tournament, and the Bobcats went 6-8 against teams that qualified for the postseason.
