FINAL RECORD
17-13, 9-7 Southland Conference, second East Division, fourth overall.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Wing Kevyn Green, the only returning starter, broke out as a dominant scorer after being fifth on the team last season. Dekyron Nicks took over point and played efficient ball with few turnovers. C Patrick Sullivan continued to emerge as a conference force after a solid sophomore season.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The team couldn't buy points at times, struggling to score. While Nicks was smart with the ball, his team had terrible trouble taking care of it with 507 turnovers. There was an inconsistency, something that troubled the team last year.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's a very disappointing loss and performance on our part after an otherwise fairly good year." -- SELA coach Jim Yarbrough, after his fourth-seeded team fell by 20 in the Southland tournament opener to fifth-seeded Northwestern State.
