Lumberjacks report: Strategy and personnel
SCOUTING REPORT The Lumberjacks do not want to get in a running game, as that proved their undoing in the conference semifinals against Northwestern State. Alexander and G Gerald Fonzie are excellent shooters. C Matt Kingsley is not a banger, but has a nice mid-range jumper and can work inside if given the chance. PG Eric Bell is 5-foot-3, but able to push the offense if he sees an opening. Sometimes he hesitates to take a shot inside the lane, though. F Nick Shaw and reserve F Scott Weaver are more role players, though Weaver can nail the 3-pointer. G Eddie Williams and C Benson Akpan provide quality depth. The team usually puts nine players in during the course of the game, with only eight seeing quality minutes. GAME REVIEW SFA 71, Texas-San Antonio 60 (Southland tournament quarterfinals) Northwestern State 69, SFA 66 (Southland tournament semifinals) Massachusetts 80, Stephen F.
