Stanford knows itself so well that even when coach Trent Johnson was tossed from the Texas A&M game late in the first half, things went fine. The plan is simple: Get the ball inside to the Lopez twins and play defense. These have been the Cardinal's staples all season, and it's a tough recipe to beat.

IN FOCUS
The No. 2-seeded Longhorns (30-6) present similar problems to Stanford that Marquette did with two superb and quick guards. Texas is led by sophomore point guard D.J. Augustin (19.4 ppg, 5.7 apg) and junior guard A.J. Abrams (16.4 ppg), who scored 26 points, including two key free throws with 9.5 seconds left, in the 75-72 second-round tournament win over Miami. This will be a tough game for the Cardinal, which must handle pressure on the perimeter and get the ball to the Lopez twins.

ROSTER REPORT

--Sophomore Brook Lopez reached 30 points for the fourth time this season with his performance against Texas A&M.

--Twin brother Robin Lopez is shooting 16-for-19 from the field in the NCAA tournament, averaging 16 points. He is scoring at a 12.9 clip over the past 11 games.

--Point guard Mitch Johnson hadn't dished more than eight assists in a game this season before doubling that total against A&M. He also had nine points on 3-for-3 shooting from beyond the arc.

--Reserve guard Kenny Brown led the Cardinal with 18 points off the bench in the win over Cornell.
