Peacocks report: Getting inside
When it was finally over, all Saint Peter's could do was look ahead -- at next season. Better times ahead? Well, the Peacocks do have some young talent. But they also lose two mainstays from the starting lineup and that experience will have to be replaced. Looking at it another way, these veteran mainstays helped this program to only 11 wins the past two seasons. The end of John Dunne's second year on the Saint Peter's bench came when the ninth-seeded Peacocks fell to No. 8 Manhattan in Albany. No suspense, no teasing, just a 73-59 loss that mirrored so much else of what happened during this long season. Saint Peter's lost its last five games, seven of its last eight.
