It was a frustrating season at times for the Tigers, but it the season was salvaged when they advanced to the finals of the OVC tournament.

Despite falling 82-64 to Austin Peay in the title game, it was a significant accomplishment for the Tigers, who hadn't played for a league title in a decade.

The Tigers struggled with inconsistency throughout the season, but they were the epitome of a team that peaked at the right time.

The key will be how the program builds on its modest success.

TSU has an outstanding guard to build around in freshman Gerald Robinson, a heavily recruited local product who chose to stay at home.

However, the Tigers lose junior guard Bruce Price, an all-conference pick who announced he will forego his senior year to turn professional.

Coach Cy Alexander needs a good recruiting year, but by all accounts, is well on his way.

With Robinson and returning forward Jerrell Houston, the Tigers certainly have a solid nucleus to build around.
