THE GOOD NEWS
The Holmes twins, who are factors on both ends of the floor return. It will be interesting to see how well they adjust to playing without F Reggie Williams by their side. Undoubtedly, both got scoring opportunities because teams chose to sag on Williams.

THE BAD NEWS
F Reggie Williams is gone, and so are his nearly 28 points per game. Williams filled so many roles for VMI -- scoring, rebounding and even distributing -- that he'll be extremely difficult to replace. Coach Duggar Baucom is on solid ground at the Institute, though. He continues to recruit well to a system that is fun to play for the hard-working sort of kids that go to VMI.

KEY RETURNEES
G Travis Holmes, G Chavis Holmes, G Christian Hunter, F Quinn Brownfield, F Willie Bell, G Austin Kenon.

ROSTER REPORT

--F Reggie Williams was not only VMI's top scorer, but he was one of the league's most fierce offensive rebounders. He nearly joined High Point's Arizona Reid as a 20-point, 10-rebound a game guy. The 6-foot-5 Williams averaged 9.7 boards per game.

--Williams and Chavis Holmes earned all-conference honors; Williams first-team and Holmes second team.

--G Austin Kenon was lost midway through the year due to an academic suspension. He was a reliable threat from 3-point range, so if he gets his schoolwork back in order, he can be a key player for the Keydets next season.
