General Questions
Q.  What browser do you recommend for use with the CBSSports.com service?
A.  CBSSports.com supports a variety of web browsers. However, for full functionality and best graphical presentation we recommend:
 • FOR PCs: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or greater), Netscape 7.2 (or greater), or Mozilla 1.7.3 (or greater)
 • FOR MAC OS10: Safari 1.2.3 (or greater), Netscape 7.2 (or greater), or Mozilla 1.7.3 (or greater)

Q.  What should I do if I forget or lose my user ID and/or password?
A.  If you have misplaced or forgotten your password, call us at 1-954-489-4115. When you call, you will be asked to verify certain personal information to confirm your identity. The password will be changed while you are on the phone with us. If you cannot reach us via phone, then send an e-mail with your member ID, mother's maiden name, and desired password. You will be sent an email confirmation after the change is made.

Q.  Sometimes it looks like I'm getting old information from your service. Why?
A.  It could be your CACHE. There are several contributing factors which can affect the timeliness of the information your browser is displaying. We recommend the following:

Try clicking on reload. This is the most common way to update your page's information. Most browsers have a tendency to get "lost" or "hung-up" from time to time. Also, most web browsers operate on a cache system, which means they hold previously-loaded web pages in your computer's memory. So, when you go to access a previously-loaded page the browser retrieves the information from the cache rather than downloading the page again. Therefore, in order to receive updated information (i.e. our Live Sports), sometimes you must clear both the memory and disk caches.

Since there are a variety of browsers currently on the market, the procedure of cache clearance will vary. You can often find the cache element under your browser's Preferences or Options menu. Set your disk and memory cache to zero, and be sure to clear both before attempting to reload the desired page. Call our Customer Support staff at 1-954-489-4115 for help -- they are there for you between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday, and between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET on Sunday

Q.  How do I obtain Customer Support?
A.  CBSSports.com offers customer support 7 days a week, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday, and between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET on Sunday. call our Customer Support staff at 1-954-489-4115. When you call, please have the following information available:
  • Member ID
  • Brand of Web browser you are using (if applicable)
  • Version of browser (3.0, 4.0, etc)
  • A short summary of the problem you are experiencing
  • Exact error message(s) you are receiving (if applicable)
  • As much information as possible about your computer hardware configuration (processor type, RAM, operating system, etc.)
If contacting Customer Support by phone is not an option, then email us at support@sportsline.com. Be sure to include as much of the information from the list above as possible in the e-mail.
