The All-Star break just ended and the NBA is back in full swing with another entire half of the regular season to go.
The west is so tight that almost anything can happen, and with the wheeling and dealing that has been going on, who knows if the balance of power will shift or not.
And it makes me wonder, the Celtics are the best in the East. People talk about the Celtics and Detroit a lot.
How come noone has been talking about the Hornets ?
Yes maybe they're not western conferrence perrennials like Phoenix or LA or San Antonio.
But they have the best record in the West, they have Chris Paul, and Peja Stojakovic and hey that's enough to get a little respect from me.
Granted everyone gave Dallas respect last year ( for having the best record in the NBA ) and they got knocked out in the first round by Baron Davis and Golden State.
However I don't see that happening to the Hornets. Chris Paul averages over 20 pts a game, and 10 ast a game. When you have that kind of a threat running your offense with Tyson Chandler down low averaging 12.1 pts a game and 12.5 reb a game and Stojakovic throwing up 3 balls behind the arc. You have a well balanced, well run offense that I don't see slowing down. They're defense isn't terrible either.
So In any case many of you maybe wonder why I just rambled about the Hornets when I'm a Celtics fan, but knowing my team is the best in the east and seeing them get coverage on ESPN and etc. it's really boggled my mind why the Hornets haven't gotten any respect.
