Post-Draft/Preseason Power Rankings

Posted on: May 17, 2008 10:26 pm

  1. Patriots- best team in the NFL. aging defense won't allow another undefeated season though
  2. Colts- close to patriots. polian knows how to draft. how much will the harrison has some question marks
  3. Chargers- sold at every position. Philip Rivers needs to improve, but he has great talent around him.
  4. Cowboys- romo and owens and barber will carry the offense, while ware, and jenkins will carry the D. in the regular season. another posteason loss though
  5. Saints- last season was a fluke. best offense in the NFC, and the defense recovers to get them the top seed. cowboys only get second seed because tough division
  6. Jaguars- rapidly improving offense. need a playmaking reciever and need to shore up the pass D
  7. Steelers- another dominant D by the steel city. parker and mendenhall should lead one of the best running games in the league.
  8. Packers- this team won't be quite as good without favre, but rodgers can carry them to double digit wins.
  9. Rams- this should be one of the better offenses in football, providing they aren't decimated by injuries again. also with a good pass D with atogwe and Hill and Long
  10. Giants- this team got hot at the right time. they really aren't one of the NFL's elite, especially if Strahan leaves.
  11. Redskins- they start slow, being carried by a solid D. they heat up late, thanks to a rookie recieving core that matures throughout the season.
  12. Vikings- They still need to find a QB and a good pass D to challenge GB for the division
  13. Eagles- An explosive offense will surprise with the addition of DeSean Jackson. The pass d will be incredible with the addition of Samuel.
  14. Browns- i'm labeling Derek Anderson as biggest bust of the year, and the defense shouldn't carry the load. but the rest of the team, carried by Brady Quinn after midseason, should finish ok.
  15. Seattle. the lack of an offense will hurt. they have no running game and no weapons for hasselback. the solid defense keeps them here
  16. Cardinals- Leinart will show and prove good enough to get the ball to Boldin and and Fitzgerald. James is a little old, but the pass O should be great and D should be good enough
  17. Houston- Matt Schaub and Andre Johson should be a great combo, and Slaton will start by the end of the year. the D is improving with Ryans and Williams
  18. Titans- Vince Young should play well enough to make up for the lack of weapons around him. the run D should be decent enough
  19. Buccaneers- not sure how they got that far last year, they aren't really great. but the D is solid, and Joey Galloway can still make plays. a healthy Cadillac Williams should really improve this team
  20. Ravens- Flacco will play well enough for Mcgahee to carry this offense and an always solid D to do well.
  21. Bills-James Hardy opposite Lee Evans should make for a decent offense featuring marshawn and Trent Edwards. the D needs to improve. mckelvin could help that. great draft.
  22. Broncos- Marshall and Cutler and Henry should carry the offense, and Bly and Bailey are two of the best. but the run d needs to improve.
  23. Panthers- Delhome to Smith should make for a decent O. but stewert is my ROY winner and will make the O good.
  24. Jets- Faneca won't be that great, the revamped linebacking core is still only ok. they have a major QB problem. Thomas Jones could surprise though.
  25. Bears- a healthy D will win them a few games, but a complete lack of offense will lose them more.
  26. Raiders- McFadden will make plays, Russel might be ready, and Javon Walker is a good/great reciever. Burgess and Asumaga are solid. but thats it, anywhere.
  27. Bengals- the D is still horrible, but Leon Hall and Keith Rivers will help it improve. the running game is bad, and Johnson is a major distraction
  28. 49ers- Smith needs to show up. Gore will carry this offense, but the D needs a lot of work also, despite a stud in Patrick Willis
  29. Lions- maybe this is low, but i can't see them winning more than four games. they lost all six division, all four AFC, and to NO, WAS, and TB, maybe even CA. last season was a glimmer of false hope.
  30. Chiefs- they had a brilliant draft, and should improve, but not much till that young group has a year or two to mature
  31. Dolphins- Ronnie Brown will carry the offense, and a good linebacking core will provide a not horrible D
  32. Atlanta- top pick, here they come. only hope that ryan doesn't bust because he was shoved in there too early.

Post-Draft/Preseason Power Rankings

worst power rank i have evere seen, how can you have the rams, packers, steelers, jags,  and saints ahead of the superbowl champs!  the other teams listed ahead of them is plausable espicially pats and colts, but the rest of these rankings are retarted.  did you jus list the teams which popped into your head first?

Post-Draft/Preseason Power Rankings

your power rankings are a joke. Do you even pay attention? Having the seahawks at 15? theyve shored up the line and the running game, they should easily be top 7.

Post-Draft/Preseason Power Rankings

easy. the giants aren't a great team

they're a good team that got hot at the right time, like the steelers did a few years back.  the rams were a bit of a stretch, but i think each of those teams are all better. but the giants aren't a brilliant team. personnally, i don't feel they're gonna cough up the 8 million it will take to keep michael strahan out of retirement, which will take a huge locker room influence away, and one of the best defensive ends ever. Justin Tuck will probably be a good enough retirement, but being able to put all three of they're rushers on the field at the same time is something no team could defend. i just think they aren't a great team.

Post-Draft/Preseason Power Rankings

nope. i don't watch football. i just thought it would be fun to fill out a power rankings with random teams put in random places. they were a joke. you're right. i was sitting at a computer one day and figured it'd be fun to fill out a random power rankings to see what kind of angry responses i get.

by the way it was kinda the defense i'm worried about. ryan grant embarrased them in the divisional game. and they don't have a true playmaker on offense anyway. Hasselback is a good QB, but not that many weapons. let's see your rankings if you're obviously know more.
