- As I sit, I realize that it’s over
- And I see that I am getting older
- As I sit here, reflecting on the past
- All these seventeen years have been a blast
- I came from a small town in southern Miss.
- I always knew I wanted to do this,
- I was born to play the game of football
- I soon could throw a deadly fireball
- I went on to play football in college
- While I was there, I sent a clear message
- That I was made to break all the records
- I was going to dominate chalkboards
- I was drafted to play for the Falcons
- But all I did there was watch the reruns
- I got traded to the Green Bay Packers
- At that time, they were a bunch of slackers
- In the third game, I was called to step up
- I went out there, and had a big hiccup
- I some how won, something no one visioned
- And at the end, I became a legend
- From there on out, I never missed a game
- Making me gain countless amounts of fame
- I started two hundred fifty three straight times
- I have wondered how I did it sometimes
- My last year, I broke records left and right
- I am the best football QB alright
- But my last pass is one I won’t forget
- As my team lost in a shocking upset
- I had a long time to think ‘bout next year
- And if I was going to reappear
- But on a cold Green Bay Tuesday morning
- I decided that I was done running
- It was time to hang up those frozen cleats
- Everyone will remember all my fetes
- I am Brett Favre, the man made of iron
