I disagree, we need a change in the president of the school. Father Harrington cares nothing about the basketball team.  We need a president who will work to build school spirit. I graduated just a few years ago and besides myself i have only one friend who follows the team.  We also need a change of team name and mascot.  C'mon the freakin red storm? how weak is that? Add in that our mascot is a stupid horse with lightning bolts coming out his nose!

I go to games every year and we are outnumbered every game by opposing fans!  The students at most big time programs are proud of their schools teams and actually give two craps.  It all starts with wins, and i like roberts but i would like to see a change.

Money talks in this age of college coaches, and st. johns is not a cheap school to attend.  We need a president whose willing to pony up the cash to get a upper tier big name coach.  With that we will get the kids that are needed to take the leap to the upper echelon of the big east.

These things need to start transpiring sooner rather than later.  The current situation of the conference is very much one of turmoil between the football schools and non-football schools.  a peranial bottom feeding basketball only school could very well be booted to make room for a football program.

A pro-sports president is what this school needs, one who will place priority in the basketball team, and one who is willing to under go the task of reviving the football program.  If we put the money and a legitimate effort into building a football program we will have a spot in the big east waiting for us.  Look at south florida, their program was started what 7 years ago? now they are a yearly contender for the conference title and a nationaly ranked team.

Anywho, my rant went on long enough, basically i would like to see Father Harrington replaced.  But what do i know im just a concerned alumni....
