Here is an interesting thought by another poster called bigdom65. Bigdom65, Now that puts a twist into it that I hadn't thought about. Perhaps GW is in Dan's mind the new HC but he is simply interviewing the likes of zorn, fassel, and the Titans dc becuase they would all be moves that where allowed. The titans coach could come to washington and accept a position called associate head coach defense which is a step up from defensive coordinator. Hmm the likes of zorn and fassel can be explained by al saunders is heading out the door so we would need a new OC. Jim Mora refuses to accept a Redskins position because it was going to be an associate head coach so he stays in seattle because holmgren said he is done after the 08 season. This adds a twist that no one has thought about or atleast me because we have all assumed this was black and white but perhaps this rabbit hole goes alot deeper then we all thought.
Why aren't other teams pursuing Gregg Williams for head coach or other positions? I still keep thinking that he has the job, and Danny isn't revealing it to the public. Fassel could make a lateral move, he was a coordinator, was fired...and could easily accept a job as coordinator again. Williams can only move up in the Skins' organization.
Also, why hasn't anyone interviewed Gregg Williams about this situation. It's always, "reports out of Ashburn...." or " a source close to the Redskins says..."
One more thing...Where is GIBBS? He's supposed to have a say in what the Skins' do as far as a coach goes...I havn't read one thing about him being involved.
Why would he leave w/out having a plan for this team. It doesn't seem like something Joe would do...just leave and say, "see ya...good luck, thanks for the memories..."
