It also can go the other way, look at what Francione did at A&M.Yea, then they hire Mike Sherman to replace him. Go figure.

Hey mph09,
You don't happen to post on the Rivals main board, do you?
It will be interesting to see how Sherman does at A&M. For the Aggies sake, I hope he isn't another Bill Callahan with his NFL philosophies. I don't know much about the guy, but I have read some good things. He sure did a great job in recruiting with what little he had to work with.

Here's ESPN's national pre-pre-preseason Top 25.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3240529
I find it funny that one "expert" at ESPN has OU ranked #2 in the nation and Mizzou at #5 and the other has OU not finishing first in the Big XII. They really should talk to each other!
Anyway, that's not why I'm here.
I hope Nebraska prove them all wrong. I really liked Bo when he was here, had a short conversation with him outside the stadium one day and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I liked his defenses and I hope he kickstarts the Huskers in short order. If Nebraska only loses two next year, that would be fine with me. (I'll let y'all guess which two! )
A strong Big XII is good for all of us and a strong North, while making my season as a fan much more stressful, is VERY good for the Big XII both in rankings and in national perception.
So I say, Bring on the Other Big Red and see y'all in Norman AND Kansas City!

The last few years have been especially frustrating because we still take everyone's best shot because of our history -- even if we're not that good now.
I'm excited about NUs chances this year because we'll be able to sneak up on people a little more this year. Nobody expects anything out of us. However, the offense will have little drop off, if any. Additionally, there has always been talent on defense, and Pelini will figure out how to move them all in the same direction.

I thought so, you sly dog!
Obviously, the exciting teams to watch in the conference this year will be Mizzou and OU as they'll be preseason top 10 teams. It will be great for Nebraska b/c I'll bet both of those games will be on ABC with tons of exposure. So, if Pelini has a defensive plan in place to give us a chance, people outside of Nebraska will get to see that this isn't the same Nebraska team any more.

I still hope mizzou beats nebraska, but it is always good for the big 12 if nebraska is back at or near the top. The more traditional powers at the top of the big 12, the better. I think within about 2 years, (and a signifigant improvement after 1) Bo will have nebraska's defense resembling the traditional defense LSU had for the last few years.
