mick close to getting his first 5 star recrute

scotty has no ideal where he wants to go. i dont belive any of the reports about his 3 choices. intill he sign his name i belive its still wide open.

as far as mackey, i have heard a rumor about him already given a verbal to mick,but they are keeping it quiet intill they find out what is going to happen to him. it makes sense since he has been playing at cincy harmony prep since he got into trouble.

we will find out soon enough.

Scotty Hopson is a dynamic talent, but like you said, until he actually gives a verbal its really looking like cincy, UL, UK, tennessee, and possibly still MSU have a shot.  He's got 4 visits left and it looks like he intends on using them all.  He's bounced all over the rankings over the past 2-3 years because of his character issues, he's been as low as mid 50's even as recently as last spring because of his effort/intensity.  He's without question a top 10 talent.  However, I've read scouts comments that they just can alreayd see how frustrating of a player he can be.  He doesn't give effort on defensive, and I read one scout from rivals talk about how he gets frustrated and pouts whenever other members of his team shoot instead of him. 

He has alot of potential, but at this point in time and im a UK fan, im not really sure I want him on my program.  He could be great, but im not sure I want UK to take that chance personally.

as far as Bud Mackey, all reports i've seen list cincy as the leader simply because they are the only one showing much interest since the cocaine issue.

i have also read the reports on scotty and his intensity, but i just chalk that up to being a kid, a kid that is better than anyone on the court. no div 1 coach will put up with that. i know mick won't and billy at uk won't.  he needs to be push then u will see his talent.

if bud mackey is playing div 1 ball next year it will be at cincy. mark it down. he has great talent,but i am worried about his off court issue, i am all for giving a person a 2nd chance, but if it blows up on uc it would be really bad.

we have finally gotten rid of the "thug" rep, but this can come right back if this kid screws up again.
