It is hard enough to accept that we lost to BYU twice this year, although they are very good this year, but when it is Wyoming, it is hard to swollow. I have 3 words for coach Boylen: recruit, recruit, recruit! (and start in California).
Boylen has already got the recruits lined up to take the spots of the guys leaving and depending on whom you ask we either have the #1 or 2 incoming class in the conference. It'll be good to finally have a true point guard to start working with. Yeah this season was tough, but not nearly as bad as the past 2 years or what this year could have been had Giac stuck around. I'm still not 100% with Boylen, but at the very least he has the team back on the right side of .500.
I predict a 9th place finish for the Utes next season. I would say 10th, but there is only 9 teams in the conference. Boylen is the biggest whinner in the league, your football coach is a class act, too.
Wyoming fans and players have no room to talk about class. Maybe when you and your teams get some you can speak but until then, please sit down the rest of the conference is busy. Oh, by the way: 68-63; at least we can beat the 9th place team in the conference.
The league is going to be tougher next year, the Utes will have to improve.
The Rebels return 3 starters (Adams, Darger & Rougeu) and three from the bench. They are adding 6 players. Two that are 7' and 6'10. (Hamga & Massamba) That means some traditional post players, like they had last year. They also have a 6'8" JC forward (Santee), a talented swingman (Mitchell) and two promising PG's, Oscar Bellfield and So.Tre'von Willis, a transfer from Memphis.
Looking at UNM and SDSU, they appear to have some nice talent coming in, and BYU will remain strong. I would expect the top 4 teams in the league to be stronger than they were this year. Utah will have to step up to compete. Good luck in your upcoming game!
