I am sorry, but this latest display by the Bearcats is completely unacceptable. The team has given up. I have never seen a group put forth so little effort as this one has. It hasn't gotten better, it has gotten worse. It seems this all started after Mick started the push to have his team considered as an NCAA team. He better start worrying more about his job. There is no excuse for this, especially the performance at UConn. It is embarrassing for every UC alum and UC player who ever put on the uniform. I would almost be inclined to dump Mick after this game alone. Even West Virginia put forth a better effort when UC thumped them. Based on the latest play, expect UC to get beat by 20-30 by Pitt. I almost wish they wouldn't go. This totally stinks! So much for improvement! When does football start?

Embarrassing. Mick, things had better get a whole lot better next year. This was the worst loss for UC in...get this...95 years!!

This was a severe lack of effort along with a total lack of confidence. Mick inherited a horrible situation that you can't fix in a couple of years. Give him a break on this one, I have no idea what happened, but maybe a lesson was learned by the underclassmen. Keep in mind UK lost to Vanderbilt by 40 + this year and they may dance so it may not be as bad as it appears on the surface.
Let/s push the Panthers to the limit Wednesday night.

well i now know what it felt like to be tcu,uab,st.louis,and really everyone else who we used to this to in cusa. what ever respect that we had earn has just went out the door. i knew it was bad but wow 95 years. right now ed jucker(rip) is rolling around in his grave.
about the game........i been trying to figure out what went wrong since about the 15 min mark in the first half. all i can come up with is this is what happens when everyone on the team has a bad game and i mean everyone.i bet the waterboy even had a bad game. i feel sick to my stomach. im not going to blame it on effort because i didnt see anyone walking up the court or not playing d but what do u blame it on or are we just this bad?
why in the hell did adam h shoot back to back 3's? were these play's run for him? if they were why? why would mick do this? this man cant make freakin layup's and he is out there shooting 3's same with warren he has no game on the offense side of the ball but he had no problem going down the court on a fast break and throwing up 3's with half the team at mid court no one in position to get a rebound. why is vaughn throwing the ball to uconn bench when he is across the court have these guys not figure out that they are in the big east and you cant make passes like this. do sikes and gentry not know where they a supposed to b on the court. did mick not teach these kids when the ball handler is in trouble you come to the ball not stand there and wait for a pass. my guess is he did but why wont they do it on the court?
the only positive i can take from this game and i use that word lightly is i was happy with biggie. i thought he did a good job rebounding and on offense he showed he might develope a nice touch around the basket.
i just dont see how we can go from almost beating these guys to what happen today.they are going stright to new york but they better not go on any tours of the city not after today they need to get to work. after this game i better see 5 pissed off bearcats playing with a chip on there shoulder and a very big one at that

um, i do not know why the administrator removed this post. I guess he does not like UC, because i was only trying to give you guys some motivation. but im going to post it again. lol. here it is:
Look, don't be so embarrassed. Things like this happen. That record was bound to be broken by a UC team sometime. I still think UC fans should be proud of this season as a whole. Not this game, but as a whole. Nancy the slut really screwed your program and for your bearcats to even make this season what it has been is quite an accomplishment.
I mean seriously, look at UK. They beat vandy at home, then went to their place and got embarrassed like you did at UCONN. But what i've learned is you just have to put that stuff behind you and stick with your team through the bad. even if it is a bad like it was last night. UC will find their way back to being a solid program.
I will always be proud of my kentucky wildcats. Uofcincy will tell you that i have always stuck by them and have been proud. But it makes me sick to see so many UC fans being so negative. I barely ever see any positive posters. I'm from cincy so i see bearcat fans everyday, and right now they really are a sad bunch. Root for your team when they're winning, root for your team when they are losing. That is a true fan

I saw FAR FAR worse posts about Tubby Smith in the past few years on UK bulletin boards and this is with UK having better records at the time. Don't get all sactimonious on us here talking about how pious and faithful UK fans are. They can be just as critical as UC fans. At the beginning of this year, they were not so sure of Billy. Now that they are winning, he is a great guy. We are all very much alike. We want our teams to do well. We are disappointed when they lose and when we sense that things are not being done properly. That being the case, please don't judge UC fans when UK fans are no better

niedog. wow. seriously. wow. here i am, trying to lift your spirits, and you go and bash me. You are a true sportsman. Now i must make you look stupid. not ONCE in my post did i state that UK fans were perfect during the bad stretch. But you know what? i can tell you this, every home game, We filled our gymnasium to root on our team. Where as the first half of the season for UC, my old high school team couldve filled the stands more. I go to UK, and therefore i am around UK fans, and yes some were bad, but to be honest, the majority were still really hopeful and were not so anti-gillispie. I think with tubby the fans were just getting tired of bad recruits (minus one year) and bad finishes in the tourney. I for one was not so worried about tubby, but wasnt mad to see him go either. Now i am from cincinnati too. So i am up here quite often, and the UC fans are no where to be found. The ones i know, dont talk about it. Pretty sad if you ask me. Those UK fans you talk of are who i wish we didnt have as fans.
I just came to your page to offer my condolences and try to lift your spirits a little bit and tryto give your fans a little kick in the rear and make them open their eyes. It has nothing to do with UK and our fans. I only spoke of them on my first post as an example to their bad loss and their bad start.
So seriously, realize what you are doing before you bash me. You basically just punched me in the mouth after i told you "good game."
i'm sure your fellow UC fan uofcincy will agree with me that you showed some poor character in your last post.
