You know what I don't understand?  Why aren't more scouts high on Colt Brennan?

I'm a Georgia fan who enjoyed watching the Sugar Bowl (yes, the same Sugar Bowl where Colt Brennan got his brains beat out and probably had his worst game as a Quarterback) and I enjoyed watching Colt Brennan.  Not because he looked great in that game, but because the kid showed HEART.  He also showed me skills that make him perfect for the West Coast offense.  He knows where to put the football and has tremendous accuracy.  Why is this guy forgotten?  Mark my words:  Colt Brennan will be the most successful QB of this draft if he ends up on a West Coast Offense schemed team.  He will "short and accurate pass" his way into the Hall of Fame.  He's also tough and a leader.  If you watched the Sugar Bowl, he got hammered, play after play after play, yet, he kept running the offense as if the score was still Zero-Zero.

Then, after the game, they asked him how the game went and he honestly said "They (Georgia) came in here and kicked us right in the mouth."  But, he said it as if there were going to be plenty of chances for him to make up for the bad game.  And, you know what?  He's going to have a long NFL career where he enjoys games a lot more than that one.  He also didn't blame his team.  And, the honest truth of it, is Colt Brennan was ready for the SEC.  The rest of his team was clearly not.  Colt Brennan will be the best QB of this Draft.

I just don't know if any team is willing to commit a first round pick to the guy.  He may end up being the steal of the draft, but I can unerstand why teams are laying off him in the first round.  I agree that he made that team good.

Brennan also lost a lot of stock when he was at the senior bowl. He wasn't throwing the ball as precise and accurately as he would have liked; But I think the senior bowl is a crock of sh*t when it comes to scouting players. I am a Brennan fan as well, and it wasn't him that cost them the Sugar bowl against Georgia because every time he would finish his three step drop from the shotgun there were two or three guys already in his face. Do you think you would have had a good game under those conditions? Didn't think so. It was just bad circumstances for Brennan in that game, and I would still give him an A+ for the effort he gave; and how he somehow managed to keep getting up every time he got knocked down. I as well think he will make a great QB in the NFL if he is in the right system. I would say somewhere like Seattle or maybe Tampa bay, but I don't think he will just give up because of all of the criticism on where he went to school.

First of all his stock really started to plumet during the combine.  He had a bad outing.  second: he wouldn't go in the first round this year anyway, because Boston College's quarterback Matt Ryan will be the only one drafted in the first round.  The quarterback's in this years draft are weaker compared to several draft's ago. Plus the need for a quarterback isn't in demand, except for a few teams like; Miami,Minnesota, and Atlanta.

Brennan will most likely be drafted on the second day of the draft, maybe some were in the middle or late third round, or possibly an early fourth depending on circumstances.

Don't  get me wrong, I think Brennan could be a good quarterback in the NFL, if he falls into a system similar to Hawai's offense.    I agree he's fun to watch.  The NFL's on a higher playing level than the NCCA, and there has only been several quarter backs that have stepped right In and made an impact on thier teams.  Like Joe Montana, Brett Favre,Dan Marino,Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady. So you see there is only an elite set of quarterbacks that have been able to step in and handle the pressure of making the transition to the next level after college life.

I think Brennan will get drafted, but it will be years down the road till he get's a shot at being a full-time starter. It's not because he play's for Hawia or had limited Television exposure.  Following this previous college season, almost every sport fan know's who he is by now, so that excuse can no longer be used anymore.

It really comes down to what team draft's him and if there system really benefits his style, anything is possible.  Example Kurt Warner.  But i'm sure will be waiting several years till we see Brennan as  a starting quarterback in the league.

i think he could be pennington pre all the shoulder injurys which would be a value at 3 or 4th round but with a very deep class (Ryan,Brohm,Flacco,Johnson,Henne,Ainge,Woodsen,Booty) the earliest is the 3rd and the latest is undrafted

Mark my words, Colt Brennen will never start a game in the NFL. He's a system QB. When you have an acurate QB with an average arm, you flood the field with wideouts, run a bunch of crossing patterns and slants, and throw it to the first guy that puts his hand up. We have all played this style of football, usually on saturday mornings in November with a bunch of guys from work.

I know, I know.....he put up sick numbers. Understand, he put up those sick numbers in a garbage conference, playing teams like Southwest Donkey Tech, and Nobody Cares A&M. Put Colt on an SEC squad and you know what you have? A good student.

Did I mention his mecahnics are horrible? His release is way to slow and he looks like he's trying to throw an 0-2 screwball to Big Papi with the bases drunk....(read into that statement what you want)

Colt will probably get drafted sometime on day 2 by some team with a need for depth at QB, or maybe a bartender, but he'll spend his career holding a clipboard or tossing passes to undrafted FA's on the practice squad.

i some what agree with the post on this board but,CT you are probally the most correct.i do believe if in the S.E.C he could have done something with the right coach.yes he is a systems qb but arent they all to a certain degree.in all reality, colt will be lucky to win a championship in the A.F.L..

I agree Brennan will be a great QB in the NFL give hime five years and he will be pretty darn good I remember the game against Boise State this past year and boy does he have an arm or what? None of the Gator QBs from the past and present had put up numbers like Brennan did and even if he was in the SEC, he would have put up those same numbers like he did in the WAC I think the Packers should get him to challenge Aaron Rodgers so he could work harder to be the starter since Favre is gone
