I think it's a great idea!  To the folks that associate any of the players getting injured as a risk, they obviously have never been to spring training or team practices.   It's the same risk. You have to go all out anyway.  Competition is always a good thing, unless you want your players to sit around on their butts all day and type msgs on websites...

There could conceivably be a few guys in the student body who could hang with some of the football players, but the very fastest would be hard to find.  It's likely it'll be some guy who's 5'3" and weighs 125 pounds.  That'll be great to see someone like that getting crunched on a return.  Brutal.

This isn't a bad idea who knows he just might find a great receiver or return man. I hope more of these schools do this.

I think it is a good idea! You never know what you might find sitting right under your nose! Pretty creative, I think! Good Luck to the Gators in 08'

This is what we've all come to know and love from the sec.  Another oddball idea that could have a nice payoff for the Gators if they pick up a guy or two.

But in all honestly I also find this kind of absurd.  The sec can be a circus at times, and whichever team can get in the spotlight will enjoy the publicity until some other team comes in with their new idea.

And it keeps the whole community involved with the team and let's the players and students to bond more while having some fun during a largely draining time.
