Yes i have a thought.
If Nova fans fly to Tampa on thursday night they can catch the game Friday and still wear the same clothes home on Friday night after Clemson lowers the hammer and moves on. Go Tigers !

That's a tough match-up...its real unfair that Temple and St Joes have better match-up...Temple will be the only Philly team to advance

im so happy were in! but an extremely tough game...fisher really needs to step it up, he's been sucking lately. Also Nova needs to hit shots and play defense against the athletic Clemson team.

Hello 'Nova fans, don't know much about your team but if play well against a full court press and can run some transition then it will be a good game. Go Tigers!

If Villanova is hitting a good percentage from 3, they can beat Clemson. Clemson has been hot, but the week off will cool them down. Go Cats!!

Clemson peeps... get tha F__ck outta here, aight... we don't wanna hear from "ya'll".
Anyway... this is the worst matchup we could have gotten, any other 5 seed Nova could beat, Mich St, Drake, but Clemson, I know I was rude with what I wrote a sentence ago, but clemson is playing some good ball, it'll be tough to beat 'em.
PS- - tigerfan, how don't you know anything about NOVA,??? don' t you watch ESPN you schmuck,?? Big East teams are on there 3-4 times a week... you MUST NOT BE A SPORTS FAN AT ALL! You stoonad... you're such a froogazie.
Peace.

Nova has a chance. I think Clemson is better and should win. Bring it on.

I think you have your hands full with the team that lost 2 overtime games to the overall #1 seed.

Of course it's gonna be a tough game. "Nova supporters wouldn't expect anything else. But I'll tell you what, let Clemson come into that game with the big head and they'll be wishing they were back in SC asking for a do over. Villanova's strong point is their guard play. If Clemson wants to come out pressing they'll be in for a long day. Nova's played a tough enough schedule in the Big East so they won't be intimidated by an untested ACC team. Check out the conference bids - acc (4) BIG EAST (8) 'nuff said "Go Wildcats"

Should be a tough but interesting game. Our guards should be able to handle the press. I think the question is can we match up inside against Booker and Mays. Since they have a lot more size, they will probably score inside on us easily. We will need to keep up by hitting 3's and we can't let them hit as many 3's as Georgetown hit on us either. I hope Scottie gets some help this year. He'll need it or we'll lose like we did to Kentucky last year when he was the only one who showed up....
Can't wait though. Tourney starts Thursday. This is my favorite time of the year. Go Nova!!!

That's the great thing about Nova is that we're a guard-oriented team that plays tough in the physical Big East. We can play small and we can play big. We can beat the press and we can shut down big men like Hibbert. Clemson better not look past us or they'll be going home early.

Sure, Clemson is a good team when they force turnovers and hit the three's. But those are two very big "ifs." Everyone is looking at Clemson's games against Duke and how they stayed close to NC in saying how great Clemson is right now.
Yes, 2 great games, but look at some of their recent games. A loss to Ga Tech (a team under .500), a loss to Fl. St. (sub .500 in conf.), and a 1 point win over Va Tech (didn't make the tourney).
I don't think it will be a close game one way or the other. Nova will either decide not to show up again (a common occurrence this season) and will lose by 15. Or, Nova will decide to defend against the 3 and win by 20.

As many of you have said, if NOVA does not show up and play great perimeter defense, we will lose to clemson, but if the team that beat UCONN and played a good defensive game against GTOWN shows up, then we will win. Now that Stokes is playing well and in the starting line-up, I think we have a decent shot at beating Clemson. I would love to see this team play Kansas in the sweet 16, but that only will happen if we take care of Clemson and VANDY.
GO CATS!!!!!

We're such a different (and better) team than we were in the middle of the season...for a few reasons:
1.) the emergence of Corey Stokes as the best long range shooter on the team, which allows them to stretch defenses...and, man, can he drill it from deep?
2.) the energy and athleticism that a healthy Shane Clark is giving the team
3.) the toughness, rebounding, defense, and occasional 3-point threat that Dwayne Anderson has provided
4.) the comfort that Scotty has been able to find at running the point now that Corey Fisher is out as point guard. For a while, Jay was playing both Reynolds and Fisher together with Fisher as the PG and Reynolds as the SG. Scotty's a natural PG, Fisher hasn't played well enough, and Stokes has emerged as the SG.
Coach can go 5-deep off the bench if Drummond is healthy and everyone knows their roles now and everyone usually gives good, productive minutes.
